    1 roaster turkey

    ¼ cup Season-All seasoned salt and black pepper, mixed

    1 can beer (or apple juice)

    1 whole potato, unpeeled

    Recipe



    Set grill to 350 degrees. Rub turkey with the Season-All and pepper combination. (Fraley occasionally uses a bottle of KC Masterpiece barbecue sauce instead of the dry rub.)

    Insert a whole potato in the turkey through the neck, then place the turkey, neck side up, on the opened can of beer or juice.

    Place turkey on the grill.

    Fraley says the potato keeps moisture from escaping, assuring that evaporating beer seeps into the bird and doesn't steam out the top.

    Grill for approximately an hour with grill cover closed, testing doneness with a meat thermometer.

    Serves 6 to 8.
