Lucille Ball's Persimmon Cake

2 cups sugar
3 tablespoons butter, softened
2 cups persimmon pulp
2 cups chopped walnut meats
1 cup dates, cut fine
1 cup seedless raisins
Rind of 1 orange, grated
1 cup milk
4 cups cake flour, sifted
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
4 teaspoons bakings soda
3 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons vanilla extract Recipe
Cream butter and sugar together. Mix all together and divide batter between two greased and floured large loaf tins or four small ones. Bake at 300 degrees F for 11/2 hours.
