    ART'S HOT CHILI

    List of Ingredients

    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. green pepper, chopped
    1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1-2 tsp. chili powder
    1 clove fresh garlic
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
    1/4 tsp. paprika
    Dash Tabasco, optional
    Dash cumin
    1 915 oz.) cans beans, kidney or red beans (if recipe is doubled use both beans)

    Recipe

    In large skillet or pot saute beef, onions and peppers until meat is browned and onions are transparent. Drain off fat, add tomatoes and liquid and all other ingredients except for beans. Boil, cover and simmer for 2 hours. Stir every now and then. When almost ready to serve add beans and reheat. (Beans are already cooked, only need to be heated.) Makes 4 to 5 cups.

    Cayenne pepper and Tabasco, add as much desired to suit taste, but be careful, this recipe is already spicy. Crushed red pepper can be substituted for cayenne pepper or chili powder. Can be served over rice or by itself.
