    List of Ingredients




    3 cups of canned beans, rinsed and drained (save the water)
    2 medium onions
    1 tablespoon of olive oil
    1 large bell pepper / green pepper
    1-20oz can of stewed and chopped tomatoes
    2 tablespoons of Chef Merito Fajitas Seasoning
    1 teaspoons of Chef Merito Cayenne Pepper
    1 lb of ground beef or ground turkey
    4 cups of water or liquid (including the drained water from the canned beans)

    Recipe



    Chop up the onions and bell peppers. Place a large skillet or saucepan over medium heat. Place the olive oil and sautee the onions and bell peppers for 5 minutes. Add the Chef Merito Fajitas Seasoning and Cayenne Pepper and cook for one minute.

    Add the ground beef, the tomatoes and stir. Add the beans and the water and mix well. Make sure you do not have large clumps of ground beef. Cover and cook for 20 minutes. If the beans dry up, add one more cup of water.

    If when you taste, you find the flavor too mild, add more Fajitas Seasoning, 1 teaspoon at a time, until the chili is the level of flavor you like. If you don't like your chili too hot, then use 1/2 teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper. If you like it hotter, add 1/2 teaspoon more of Cayenne Pepper.
