    Big Bruce's Simple Gunpowder Chili

    Gray 2 pounds of meat in 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or( pound stew meat and 1 pound ground meat (very lean)

    Add:

    1 can beef broth
    1/2 can chicken broth
    1 15-ounce can of diced tomatoes
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 chopped jalapeno pepper

    Bring to a slow boil, and boil for about 1 hour.

    When the meat is almost tender, add the following while the liquid is still boiling (pre blend these ingredients together)

    4 tablespoons chili powder
    2 tablespoons ground red mild chili peppers or use 4 tablespoons of chili paste (Note: these should bright red, mild peppers -- the kind you see on a ristra) or substitute with 2 tablespoons of additional chili powder
    1 tablespoons ground cumin
    2 teaspoons granulated garlic
    1 tablespoons granulated onion
    1 teaspoon back pepper

    When spices have dissolved, reduce to a very slow simmer for 1 hour. Add a water If necessary

    Adjust salt, cayenne pepper or hot stuff to taste.
