    List of Ingredients




    1 tbl olive oil
    1 lb. ground meat, turkey, pork or beef
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 green pepper, diced
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes w/puree
    1 (15 oz) can black beans
    1 (14 oz) can beef broth
    2 chopped chipotle chilies, optional
    2 tbl. cocoa powder
    1 tbl. chili powder
    1 (13 oz) package of corn bread mix made according to instructions on the box or refrigerated corn stick dough separated but not unrolled.

    Heat the oil in a large ovenproof casserole over medium high heat and brown the ground meat. Add the onions, peppers and garlic and continue cooking until the vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and continue to cook for about 30 minutes until the flavors have blended. Spoon the cornbread mix or place the unrolled corn sticks over the pot of chili and bake in a 400 degree oven for about 20 minutes or until the corn bread is set and golden.
