    List of Ingredients




    8 lbs ground chuck
    3 med yellow onions, chopped
    2 med green peppers, chopped
    3 celery stalks, diced
    2 x 28 oz cans crushed tomatoes
    1 x 12 oz bottle of Heinz chili sauce
    1 x 7 oz can salsa verde picante
    1 x 46 oz can tomato juice
    2 x 27 oz cans mild chili beans
    2 bay leaves
    2 tsp each cumin and garlic salt
    1/4 cup sugar
    1 x 2.87 oz jar chili powder
    salt & pepper to taste

    Recipe



    Add the first four ingredients to a very large pot and cook over medium heat until the meat is browned through and finely crumbled. Add all remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a low simmer and cook for 3-4 hours, uncovered, stirring periodically. Garnish to taste.
