Manicotti A La Chili

12 manicotti shells cooked and drained
1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic finely chopped
1 can 28oz. stewed tomatoes
1 can 15oz. tomato sauce
2 tablespoons chili seasoning mix
2 cups chedder cheese shredded
1 carton 16oz. cottage cheese 1 egg beaten Recipe
Preheat oven to 350". In large skillet brown beef, onion and garlic. Drain any fat off. Stir in stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce and chili seasoning mix. Spoon about 1/2 meat mixture into bottom of 11x7 inch baking dish. In medium bowl mix cottage cheese, 1 cup cheddar and egg. Stuff into shells. Arrange in baking dish. Spoon remaining mixture on top. Cover and bake for 30 minutes. uncover and bake 10 more minutes. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top during last 2 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. refrigerate leftovers if any. Serves 6
