    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1/2cup melted shortening
    1/2 cup molasses
    1 egg, well beaten
    2 cups sifted all purpose flour
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon bakinq soda
    1/2 cup boiling water
    1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg

    Recipe



    Combine sugar and shortening. Stir in molasses. Add egg flour with salt.

    Dissolve baking soda in water; add alternately to first mixture with flour. Add spices. On greased cookie sheet drop batter by teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart.

    Bake 375F 8-10 minutes.
