    List of Ingredients




    # Diced Ham -- 1 cup
    # Cilantro - 1/2 bunch
    # Oil - 1/2 cups
    # Sofrito - 5 Tbsp *(see recipe below)
    # Adobo seasoning - 5 Tbsp
    # Sazon seasoning - 4 packages (2 pkgs Azfran, 2 pkgs 'with cilantro and achiote)
    # Gandules (pigeon peas) - 1 can
    # Tomato sauce - 1 cans
    # Rice and brand (medium grain) rice - 4 cups uncooked
    # Water - 4 cups
    # Aluminum Foil

    Recipe



    In medium skillet, heat oil. Add Tomato Sauce, Ham, Gandules, Sofrito, Cilantro, Adobo Seasoning and Sazon Seasonings. Bring to boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Add uncooked rice and mix thoroughly. Add water, cover pot with aluminum foil, then place lid tightly over foil. Simmer for 20 minutes, until there's no excess water. Mix ONCE, to just turn over. Cover and continue to simmer for another 15 minutes.
