    List of Ingredients




    6 tilapia fillets (about 1 ¼ lbs.)
    8 limes
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon black pepper
    1 cup freshly chopped cilantro
    1 cup diced yellow onion
    1 cup chopped fresh tomato
    1 diced jalapeno pepper, or hot sauce to taste
    1 cup bottled clam juice
    1 ripe avocado, peeled and cut into quarters

    Cut the tilapia fillets into ¼-inch cubes and place in a mixing bowl. Squeeze the juice of 8 limes over the fish and toss lightly. Add salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours (the acid in the lime juice will "cook" the fish, making it firm and white).

    Pour off most of the lime juice. Stir in the cilantro, onion, tomato, jalapeno and clam juice. Mound mixture on plate and top with avocado slices.

    Serve cold with tostadas or corn chips.
