    Atlanta Pork Chops and Rice
    4 pork chops
    2 tbsp oil
    1/4 cup sliced celery
    2 - 8oz cans tomato sauce with onions
    1 1/2 cups water
    2 tbsp brown sugar
    1 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp basil
    1 cup uncooked rice

    Recipe



    Brown pork chops in skillet in hot oil. Remove to warm platter. Add celery to skillet. Sautee until tender; drain. Add tomato sauce, water, brown sugar, salt, basil and rice; mix well. Arrange pork chops over top. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer, covered, for 30 minutes or until pork chops are tender.
