    1 envelope (1 teaspoon) Sazon (coriander and annatto blend)
    1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
    1/2 teaspoon lemonade mix powder
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    3 to 4 pounds chicken parts
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon black pepper
    canola oil for frying
    1 1/2 cups flour

    Recipe



    1. Blend seasoning ingredients. Set aside.
    2. Wash chicken. Remove any visible fat. Drain. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the skin, rubbing the seasonings into the meat. Set aside.
    3. Add oil to come one inch up the sides of a deep heavy pan. Heat to 375 degrees.
    4. While oil is heating, sprinkle one teaspoon of the seasoning mix over the chicken. Blend the remaining seasoning mix with four in a large bag. Shake chicken pieces, one at a time, in the bag to thoroughly coat.
    5. When oil is heated, carefully add chicken pieces to the pan so that the oil does not splash. Do not crowd the pan. Cook in batches. Cook chicken pieces 20 to 25 minutes, turning several times. Pierced the thickest part with a thermometer, being careful that it does not touch bone, to be sure that the meat registers at 180 degrees.
