    Michael's Famous Fried Chicken

    List of Ingredients




    1 whole chicken cut-up
    2 cup of buttermilk
    3 cups flour
    1 tbs. paprika
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. onion powder
    2 up. thyme
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 cup peanut oil
    cast iron skillet
    mix all dry ingredients together

    oak chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least one hour. Shake excess buttermilk off chicken and dredge chicken pieces in seasoned flour and place on baking sheet and place in refrigerator for 1 hour. After 1 hour remove chicken from refrigerator. The chicken will be sticky. Heat peanut oil in skillet until medium hot. Place chicken in hot oil and fry one side until brown then turn ever and fry second side until brown and chicken is completely cooked.
    Turn chicken only once.
