    # For the Ruz:
    # 1 stick of butter, divided
    # ½ pkg vermicelli
    # 2 cups long grain, converted rice
    # 2 14oz cans chicken broth
    # Dash of salt
    # 1 lb chicken
    #
    # Sauce:
    # 1 medium onion, finely chopped
    # 1 garlic clove, minced
    # 1 lg can crushed tomatoes
    # ½ cup water
    # Cinnamon to taste
    # 1 can green beans

    Recipe



    Rinse rice in hot water. Soak 30 minutes. Sauté chicken in a pan with olive oil, salt and pepper. Melt ½ stick of butter in a pot. Break up vermicelli and add to butter. Cook over medium heat until golden brown. Add rice, chicken broth and salt. Cover and cook over medium heat 15- 20 minutes. In another pot, melt remaining ½ stick of butter and sauté onion and garlic. Cook until clear (approx. 10 minutes). Add crushed tomatoes and water. Cook 10-15 minutes. Add cinnamon to taste. Add green beans. Stir through until veggies are hot. Serve with rice & vermicelli mixture.
