    List of Ingredients




    1 tbsp Teriyaki glaze/may use already prepared glaze in bottle
    2 slices thinly sliced ham
    1 tbsp crushed pineapple
    1 slice thinly sliced Maui onion
    1 slice Swiss cheese
    2 slices Hawaiian sweet bread (works well with a plain hearty white bread as well)
    softened butter

    To make teriyaki glaze:
    Start with 1/2 cup of aloha shoyu (or any other soy sauce)
    1/2 cup of sugar
    1-2 cloves of crushed garlic
    1 slice of ginger
    may add 1/2 tsp of crushed red pepper flakes for a little heat

    Recipe



    Heat a Teflon® coated non-stick skillet to medium and cook mixture for around 5 to 8 minutes until it reduces enough to coat the back of the spoon. Cool.

    Heat a Teflon® coated non-stick skillet for 2 minutes on medium heat. Butter outside of both slices of bread. Brush the inside of both slices of bread with teriyaki glaze. Place ingredients in this order: ham, cheese, onion, pineapple and another slice of cheese on the bread. Top with other slice and cook until nice and brown about 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Makes 1 sandwich.
