    2 slices of crusty sourdough or tuscan loaf
    2 oz of fresh lump crab meat
    Old Bay seasoning
    butter
    thin slices of gouda cheese
    fresh minced garlic
    sea salt

    Recipe



    First, prepare the Old Bay/butter spread for the outside of the sandwich. Do this by melting butter, mixing in old bay to taste, and refrigerating the mixture. Once hardened, place a couple of pats in a hot pan before placing the sandwich in it. Or, slather room temperature mixture on bread before placing in pan (preferred method!)

    Next, prepare the crabmeat. Just use enough lump crab meat to provide a light, manageable layer of meat in the sandwich, and blend in sea salt and fresh garlic to taste. Next, put aside a couple of thinly-sliced pieces of gouda. (Note: gouda must be thinly-sliced for it to melt.) Spread crab mixture onto slices of crusty sourdough or tuscan loaf that have been slathered with the old bay/butter.

    Place thin slices of gouda on top and bottom of crab mix. Place in a Teflon® coated non-stick skillet and grill to perfection. Makes 1 sandwich.
