    1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
    2 pounds beef stew meat, cut in chunks
    1 1/2 cups water or beef broth
    4 to 5 carrots, cut in 1-inch chunks
    1 1/2 to 2 pounds onions, chopped
    1 6-ounce package snow peas

    Recipe



    Mix the flour, salt, and pepper in a shallow
    dish. Coat the meat with the flour mixture.
    Heat a small amount of oil in a large Dutch
    oven and brown the meat. Add the broth,
    carrots, and onions, and bring to a boil.
    Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 2 hours
    and 30 minutes or until the meat is tender.
    Add the peas. Cover and continue until the
    peas are heated through. Yields 6 servings.
