    1 1/2 pounds fresh or frozen green beans, trimmed
    2 tablespoons butter
    2 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 teaspoons anchovy paste
    3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
    1 1/2 teaspoons coarsely ground black pepper
    1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

    Recipe



    Bring large pot of water to boil. Add beans and blanch until
    tender-crisp, about 3 minutes. Drain. Heat butter and oil in large
    skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and saute 1 minute. Swirl in
    anchovy paste and lemon juice. Add beans and stir to coat thoroughly
    with sauce. Season with pepper. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Serve at
    once. Serves 6 to 8.
