    Yield: 8 servings

    List of Ingredients




    1 1/2 pounds fresh string beans, or frozen, trimmed
    2 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
    2 tablespoons margarine or butter
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    3 tablespoons lemon juice
    2 teaspoons anchovy paste
    1 1/2 teaspoons coarse ground black pepper
    1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese, (2 ounces)

    Recipe



    Bring a large pot of water to boil. Add beans and cook until crisp-tender, about 3 minutes. Drain.
    Heat olive oil and margarine in large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and saute 1 minute. Add lemon juice and anchovy paste and stir until well blended. Add beans to skillet and stir to coat thoroughly with sauce. Season with pepper and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
