    Saucy Brussels Sprouts

    2 pints Brussels sprouts
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    2 tablespoons butter
    1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
    1 tablespoon brown sugar
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
    1/2 cup milk
    1 cup sour cream
    1 tablespoon chopped parsley

    Recipe



    Wash and trim sprouts, cutting large ones in half. Cook covered in small amount of boiling salted water for 10-15 minutes or until tender. Drain well.

    In another pan, cook onion in butter until soft, but not brown. Stir in dry ingredients until blended; stir in milk. Cook and stir until thickened; blend in sour cream. Add sprouts, stirring gently to combine. Cook until heated through, do not boil. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.

    Serves 8.
