Here's what to serve a vegetarian who still craves fried chicken!

List of Ingredients
3/4 cup (185 mL) nutritional yeast flakes
1/4 (60 mL) bread crumbs
1 tsp (5 mL) dried parsley flakes
salt and pepper to taste
2 eggs
2 Tbsp (30 mL) milk
1/4 cup (60 mL) peanut oil
16 oz. (454 g) extra-firm tofu, cut into slices
Recipe
Combine yeast, breadcrumbs, parsley, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Set aside. In a small bowl, beat the eggs, and stir in the milk. Heat about 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Double-bread each tofu slice. Place as many slices in the skillet as will fit comfortably. Fry 3 - 4 minutes on each side, or until light brown and crispy.
Serve with spicy ketchup
