Garlic Cheddar Biscuits

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon McCormick� Italian Seasoning
1/2 teaspoon McCormick� Garlic Powder
1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
1/3 cup shortening
2/3 cup buttermilk
Recipe
1. Preheat oven to 425��F. Combine flour, baking powder, seasonings, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl; mix well. Cut in shortening, using a pastry blender or 2 knives, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Toss in cheese. Add buttermilk and stir with fork until particles are moistened and cling together. Form dough into ball.
2. Turn onto a lightly floured surface. Knead gently 8-10 times. Roll dough out until 1/2-inch thick. Cut into biscuits using a floured cutter or the edge of a drinking glass. Place on baking sheet.
3. Bake 12-14 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
