2 cups PILLSBURY BEST� Self-Rising Flour
1 Stick or 1 cup CRISCO Shortening
3/4 cup buttermilk Recipe
Preheat oven to 400� F.
In a large bowl, mix PILLSBURY BEST Flour and CRISCO Shortening.
With a fork, cut the shortening into the flour and add the buttermilk.
Stir until dough leaves the sides of the bowl.
Place dough on a lightly floured surface.
Knead until smooth.
Roll out the dough to about 1/2-inch thick.
Cut with a biscuit cutter and arrange on a greased baking sheet. If you don't have a biscuit cutter, you can use the top of a drinking glass. If you're in a hurry and don't care if they look pretty, you can drop by spoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet.
Bake for 15 minutes or until nice and brown
