Recipe
Directions
1. Grease an 8x8x2-inch baking pan. Set aside.
2. In a medium saucepan, melt butter and chocolate. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat and cool.
3. Stir eggs, one at a time, into chocolate mixture. Stir in sugar, corn syrup (if you like), and vanilla.
4. In a bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir into chocolate mixture. Stir in the 1 cup pecans, if you like.
5. Spread into prepared baking pan. Bake in 350 degree F oven for 35 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack. Drizzle with Chocolate Glaze and sprinkle with additional pecans, if you like. Makes 9 giant brownies.
Chocolate Glaze: In small saucepan, melt 1-1/2 ounces cut-up semisweet chocolate and 1 tablespoon butter or margarine over low heat, stirring often. Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar and enough hot water (2 to 3 teaspoons) to make a drizzling consistency.
