75g unsalted butter
¼ x 5ml spoon vanilla bean paste
25g icing sugar, sifted
75g plain flour, sifted
15g flaked almonds
a little sifted icing sugar, to decorate
Recipe
Preheat the oven to 200°C, 400°F, Gas Mark 6.
Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Cream the butter, vanilla and icing sugar together until pale and fluffy with an electric hand whisk.
Fold in the flour with a metal spoon until evenly mixed in. Spoon the mixture into a piping bag fitted with 1cm plain nozzle.
Pipe the mixture onto the baking tray into 7cm lengths and sprinkle with flaked almonds. Bake until pale golden brown.
Cool on a cooling rack. Once cold dust with icing sugar
