1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup Blue Bonnet®-stick, (1 stick)
1/2 cup Peter Pan® Creamy Peanut Butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1-1/2 cups toasted rice cereal
1 package (10 ounces) peanut butter chips
Recipe
Heat oven to 350°F.
In large bowl, beat shortening, Blue Bonnet, and peanut butter with electric mixer until creamy. Add sugars and vanilla; beat well. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Add combined flour and baking soda; beat well. Stir in cereal and peanut butter chips. Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 11 to 13 minutes or until deep golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets; transfer to wire racks. Cool completely.
