    8 large cloves garlic, chopped
    1/2 cup (4 fl oz/120ml) dry sherry or white wine
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
    1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
    1/2 teaspoon sea salt
    1 1/4 pounds (20 oz/600g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
    12 to 16 French baguette slices or pita bread wedges
    Crumbled feta, optional

    1 Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Mix garlic, sherry, olive oil, thyme, red pepper and salt in a shallow 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes or until the garlic is tender.
    2 Add shrimp to the hot garlic marinade, toss to coat and arrange in a single layer. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until shrimp are just opaque. Serve hot or cold on baguette slices or pita bread wedges. Sprinkle with a little feta, if desired.
