    Source of Recipe

    Source: Crisco®

    List of Ingredients

    Unbaked Classic Crisco Double Crust

    6 medium cooking apples

    3/4 cup granulated sugar

    2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

    1 teaspoon cinnamon

    1 tablespoon butter or margarine

    For the Glaze:

    1 egg white, lightly beaten

    Recipe

Heat oven to 400 degrees F.

    FOR THE CRUST:
Prepare Classic Crisco Double Crust. Press into 9-inch pie plate. Do not bake.

    FOR THE FILLING:
Pare, core and slice apples; toss with mixture of sugar, flour and cinnamon. Turn into pastry-lined 9-inch pie plate; dot with butter. Cover with top crust; seal and flute edge. Brush with egg white glaze. Cut slits for escape of steam.

Roll additional Classic Crisco® Crust to 1/8-inch thickness. With small 1-1/2-inch star cookie cutter, cut 20-25 stars.

Place 1 star on rim of top crust; brush with egg glaze. Place another star, brush with egg glaze. Repeat until rim is covered.

Bake at 400 degrees F for 30-40 minutes, until pie is desired brownness and apples are tender
