Recipe Introduction
Apple Pie Spice is the flavor secret for this hearty apple pie. If you like a sweeter pie, use Jonathan, MacIntosh, Stayman-Winesap, or Jonagold cooking apples.

1 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons McCormick® Apple Pie Spice
1/4 cup flour
8 cups peeled, thinly sliced, Granny Smith apples
1 tablespoon butter
1 package refrigerated pie crusts
Recipe
1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Prepare pie crusts as directed on package for two-crust pie, using a 9-inch pie plate.
