    Upside Down Apple Pecan Pie

    1 cup chopped pecans
    1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
    1/3 cup margarine or butter, melted
    15-ounce package Pillsbury pie crust
    Pam spray
    1 can sliced apples
    1/4 cup sugar
    2 tablespoons flour
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350F. Combine pecans, brown sugar and margarine. Apply cooking spray to pan. Spread mixture evenly on bottom of pan. Prepare pie crust according to directions for two crust pie. Place bottom crust over pecan mixture in pan. In large bowl, combine apples, sugar, flour and cinnamon. Mix lightly. Spoon into pie crust-lined pan. Top with second crust, fluting and cutting slits in several places. Place pan on cookie sheet to guard against spillage. Cook pie for 5 minutes. Place serving plate over pie; invert. Carefully remove pie. Replace remaining nuts. Cool at least 1 hour before serving. Garnish as desired.

    Serves 8.
