    Spinach and Rice with Almonds

    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed, drained
    1 pkg. (6 oz.) long-grain and wild rice pilaf with seasoning packet
    2 cups water
    1/3 cup PLANTERS Slivered Almonds, toasted

    Recipe



    COOK and stir onion in hot oil in large skillet over medium heat for 2 minutes or until tender. Add spinach and rice; cook an additional 2 minutes.
    ADD water and seasoning packet; bring to boil.
    REDUCE heat; cover. Simmer 18 to 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Stir in almonds; cook until thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally.




    KRAFT KITCHENS TIPS


    How To: Toast Nuts: Spread in single layer on cookie sheet. Bake at 350°F for 5 to 7 minutes or until lightly toasted.
