    List of Ingredients




    2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed
    Salt
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
    1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
    1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
    2 tablespoons sliced almonds, toasted
    1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
    1/2 teaspoon salt

    Recipe



    1 Boil beans in salted water, just until tender, 6 to 8 minutes. Drain; rinse under cold water.
    2 Puree basil, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, garlic and pepper in blender. Toss with beans and onion in bowl. Arrange on platter; top with almonds. Makes 8 side-dish servings.
