1 26-ounce (780-g) jar plain spaghetti sauce
1 - small fennel bulb, trimmed and thinly sliced (about 1 1/2 cups)
1 teaspoon crushed fennel seeds
- - Freshly ground black pepper to taste


Recipe



1 In a large saucepan, combine spaghetti sauce, fennel, fennel seeds and a generous grinding of black pepper. Simmer until the fennel is soft, about 10 minutes.
