    Recipe Introduction


    Fresh and rich-tasting, this popular basil sauce is easy to prepare and always a favorite when served with pasta. Add a few drops of lemon juice if preparing ahead of time to preserve the color of the basil

    List of Ingredients




    2 bunch basil, leaves picked
    1 tablespoon pine nuts, lightly toasted
    1 tablespoon garlic, peeled
    4 tablespoon olive oil,
    1/4 teaspoon salt, optional

    Recipe



    1 In food processor or blender, combine basil, pine nuts, and garlic. Puree ingredients together. With the food processor or blender running, gradually add the oil until the mixture forms a smooth paste.
    2 Adjust seasoning if desired. Use, or properly store.
