Apricot Cheese Tart

Almond Crust:
1 1/2 cups - all purpose flour
1/2 cup - butter or margarine, softened
1/3 cup - Domino® Granulated Sugar
1 - egg
1/2 cup - finely chopped almonds
Cheese Filling:
3 ounces - cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons - heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon - vanilla
1 tablespoon - Amaretto or almond flavored liqueur
2 - (15 oz.) cans unpeeled apricot halves in heavy syrup
Apricot Glaze (recipe follows)
1/3 cup - toasted slivered almonds
Recipe
Preheat oven to 400°F.
To Prepare Crust:
In medium mixing bowl, combine flour, butter, sugar and egg. Beat at medium speed until mixture is crumbly; stir in nuts. Press firmly on bottom and up sides of 10-inch tart pan with removable bottom; freeze crust for 15 minutes.
Bake in 400°F oven for 15-18 minutes or until the tart shell is golden brown. Cool completely on wire rack.
To Prepare Filling:
In small bowl, beat together cream cheese, heavy cream, vanilla and Amaretto. Spread this mixture onto bottom of prepared crust. Drain apricots, and pat dry with a paper towel; reserving liquid for apricot glaze. Top cheese mixture with well-drained apricot halves, rounded sides up. Brush with apricot glaze and sprinkle with toasted almonds.
Makes 8 servings.
To Prepare Apricot Glaze:
In a small saucepan, bring the reserved apricot liquid to a boil and reduce to 1/3 cup. Add 1 tablespoon Amaretto or almond flavored liqueur and cool slightly
