    Roasting the beans lends them a sweetly nutty flavor, accented by the mildness of the roasted peppers.

    List of Ingredients




    3/4 pound green beans, trimmed
    1 - red bell pepper, large, cored, seeded and cut into long, thin strips
    2 teaspoon olive oil
    1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
    1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste

    Recipe



    1 Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Place green beans and peppers on a baking sheet with sides and toss with oil and salt and pepper. Spread the vegetables in an even layer. Roast for about 12 minutes, stirring midway, or until the vegetables are wrinkled, brown and tender.
