In a large bowl, combine:
¾ cup cocoa
½ tsp. baking soda
1/3 cup margarine, melted
Add and stir until well blended:
½ cup boiling water
Stir in:
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/3 cup margarine, melted
Add:
1-1/3 cups flour
1 tsp. vanilla
¼ tsp. salt
Stir in:
½ cup nuts, chopped
2 cups chocolate chips
Pour into greased 13x9” pan.
Bake at 350°F. for 35-40 minutes or until brownies begin pulling away froms sides of pan.
Cool.
Yield: 3 dozen
Notes: 5/94-- This is a great recipe!!
24 minutes in a 10x15” pan: chips stuck to the bottom even though it was greased. Use parchment next time. Cut 3” squares and got 15 large squares.
