    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 cup shortening
    • 1 cup white sugar
    • 1 cup brown
    • 2 eggs, beaten well
    • 1 bar German sweet chocolate melted with 1/2 cup boiling water
    • 1 cup sour milk
    • 2 1/2 cups flour
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • salt


    Instructions


    1. Cream together shortening and sugars. Add beaten eggs.
    2. Melt chocolate with hot water. Add chocolate mixture to shortening and beat well.
    3. Add sour milk and mix well.
    4. Sift together dry ingredients. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well.
    5. Bake at 350 F for 25 minutes.
