    Pineapple Upside Down Cake

    Recipe Introduction


    This recipe is on my "to try" list my husband loves pineapple upside down cake and i've yet to find one that is his favorite so maybe this will be the one. Hope to try it soon.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 box yellow cake mix (18 zo)
    • 2 cans crushed pineapple (20 oz)
    • 1/2 cup margarine
    • 2 cups brown sugar


    Instructions


    1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Put margarine in a 9x13 inch pan and put it in the oven for a few minutes to melt margarine.
    3. Mix cake mix according to the directions on the package, except when it calls for water - use the juice from the pineapple and add only enough water to make the amount of liquid specified.
    4. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the melted margarine. Put drained pineapple over the brown sugar. Pour cake batter over the pineapple.
    5. Bake for about 45 miutes.
    6. Let cool 15 minutes before turning over on platter. Serve warm or cool. Can also add cool whip on top.
