    Peanut Butter Cookies

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 sticks butter
    • 1 cup peanut butter
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 cup brown sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 3 cups flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt


    Instructions


    1. Cream together with mixer the butter, peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar.

    2. In a seperate bowl blend together the flour, baking powder, soda, and salt.

    3. Add eggs to the peanut butter mixture then combine with the flour mixture.

    4. Dip cookie dough out with an ice cream scoop drop into your buttered hands and roll, place on a lightly greased cookie sheet-no more than 6 cookies per sheet (2 in each row).

    5. ***Very important- remember to take a fork and make a criss cross shape on each cookie-this helps the cookie to expand (spread) while baking-if this is not done the cookies will not spread and will be doughy and not cook properly so remember to criss cross.

    6. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes-Do Not Overbake-Cookies will be light in color and continue to bake and set up after removing from the oven. If I use a black metal pan the cookies bake in 10 minutes, if I use a nonstick gray pan the cookies bake in 12 minutes.
