    Crockpot Green Beans

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 Large can of Green Beans (drained, rinsed)
    • Bacon (fried) keep grease
    • garlic seasoning
    • seasoning salt
    • pepper
    • butter


    Instructions


    1. pour green beans into crockpot, add water, seasonings, heat on low while frying bacon

    2. crumble bacon and add along with grease to greenbeans

    3. cook on low 4 to 6 hours, add more seasoning as needed



    Final Comments


    I cooked about 2 or three pieces of bacon (about half way) before I added them to the beans - mainly because they were only going to cook for 4 hours. If I had cooked them all day, I probably wouldn't have pre-cooked the bacon. For the water, I didn't measure, but for a full pot of beans, I'd guess about a cup. I also put a few pats of land o lakes butter in there with a little season salt and garlic salt and pepper.

    No problem! ONe more thing - if you use canned beans, rinse them off first with water to remove the "canny" taste. Drema taught me that....
