Butter Sauce;
1C. sugar
1/4 C. water
1/2C. butter
1T. almond extract
Recipe
Preheat oven to 325'. In lrg. bowl, cream butter; whip it well with mixer beaters. Gradually add sugar,beating till light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each. Add remaining cake ingredients. Blend at low speed till moistened, then beat 2 minutes at medium speed, scraping bowl down on sides. Pour into generously greased 10" bundt pan. Bake for 60-65 min. untill done.
Prepare Butter Sauce by combining all ingredients, except the almond extract. Heat in saucepan till butter is melted, but don't boil. Remove from heat and add almond extract.
When cake is done, and removed from oven-prick it all over the top with a fork. Pour the warm butter sauce all over the cake. Cool cake completely before removing from pan or it will stick.
