Mystery Pecan Pie

1 8-ounce package cream cheese
1/3 cup sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 deep dish pie shell
1 ¼ cups chopped pecans
Topping
3 eggs
¼ cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanillaRecipe
Blend together first five items and pour in bottom of unbaked pie shell, top with chopped pecans.
Mix all topping ingredients and pour on top of pecans. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.
Yield: 6 to 8 servings
