    1 C. shortening
    2 1/2 C. flour
    1 t. salt
    1/4 C. cold water
    1 T. vinegar
    1 egg

    Recipe



    Sift the dry ingredients together; add the shortening and cut in. Beat the egg, add the water and vinegar. Add this a little at a time to the flour mixture. Stir with a fork. Roll out on floured surface to fit pie pan.

    With a fork, poke crust several times to prevent bubbling up.
    Bake at 425' for 15 minutes.

    Makes 2 single crusts
