This is the best tip you'll probably ever get concerning beans!
When cooking a bag of dry beans, if you do the following, you will NOT get gas after eating them!!!
Soak beans in water overnight. Drain.
Put into fresh water and parboil them just until the skin breaks and the beans pop slightly. THIS ALLOWS THE ENZYME THAT CAUSES THE GAS TO ESCAPE.
Then drain and rinse and add to fresh water and cook as usual.
