    Pillsbury Holiday Cookies & Candies


    List of Ingredients


    • 3/4 cup shortening
    • 3/4 cup margarine or butter, softened
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 cups Pillsbury BEST All Purpose or Unbleached Flour
    • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup red and green candy-coated chocolate pieces


    Instructions


    1. Heat oven to 350 F. In large bowl, combine shortening, margarine and sugar; beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs; beat until smooth.
    2. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. Add flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; blend well. Stir in chocolate pieces. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
    3. Bake at 350 F. for 8 to 9 minutes or until edges are set. Do not overbake. Cool 2 minutes. Remove from cookie sheets.
