    List of Ingredients




    1 C shortening, or 2 cubes butter
    1/8 tsp. salt
    3 C sifted powdered sugar
    ¼ C soft butter (use shortening if butter used above)
    1 ½ tsp. vanilla

    Recipe



    Mix at medium speed and cream together
    shortening, salt and 1C sugar until light & fluffy.
    Add alternately rest of butter & sugar, beating until very smooth (quite awhile).
    Add vanilla.

    *Butter makes frosting flow smooth through decorating tube.
