    Ham & Scallion Brioche Bread Bake

    List of Ingredients


    • 8 large eggs
    • 3 1/4 cup milk
    • 1 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1 tsp black pepper
    • 1 1/2 tbl evoo
    • 2 bunches scallions, white and light green sliced thin
    • 1 clove garlic, chopped fine
    • Pinch red pepper
    • One 1-lb load brioche, cubed
    • 1/4 lb ham, corsely chopped
    • 2 cups shredded gruyere


    Instructions


    1. Grease a 9x13 in baking dish. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, 1 tsp salt and the black pepper.
    2. In a med skilled heat the oil over med-high heat. Add the scallions, garlic, remaining salt and red pepper and cook, stirring until fragrant. About 2 minutes.
    3. Transfer the bread cubes to the baking dish. Add the scallion mixture, ham and half the cheese. Toss. Pour the eg mix on top. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until the liquid is absorbed, about 1 hour.
    4. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Discard the plastic wrap and bake until gold and bubbly, about 45 minutes. Let cook about 10 minutes before serving.
