    Scotch Butterscotch Sauce

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
    • 1/3 cup heavy cream
    • 3 tbl unsalted butter
    • 2 tbl dark corn syrup
    • 2 tbl Scotch whisky
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract


    Instructions


    1. In a medium saucepan, slowly bringing the brown sugar, cream, butter and corn syrup to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly to dissolve the sugar.
    2. Bil gently, stirring often, until the sauce thickens and coats the back of the spoon, 4-5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in Scotch and vanilla until blended.
    3. Let cool slightly before using. Can be refrigerated for up to a week.
